Childhood Time for Dads

The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that on average mothers spend more time on child care activities than fathers. No great surprise there. What amazes me is the following statistic - on average fathers spend 8 hours a week parenting ... We've just discovered Nippers at our local surf club and it's been brilliant for our family. We are all involved in it in different ways. I agree that fathers definitely want to forge authentic relationships with their children. ...I don't think so Zermatt, if the last year and a half taught us anything, it's that there has to be some continuity at the club. I just think that there is a limited shelf life to someone with his personality. ... I dont hate the guy or dread his coaching abilities like I do Klinsmann's but he wasnt exactly my first, second or third choice. But at the time and with who was available it was an ok choice. But as Jan said, we got to give it at least 2 seasons to compare. ...

Club Med...or is that Club Dread? Posted by Just call me RIO at 7:35 PM. Been working at Club Med since early January of this year. It's been an interesting month and a half so far. But it is nothing like what they promised me back home. ... Nevertheless, we get an average of much less than minimum wage. Oh yeah, we only get 1 day a week off. Sometimes my shift rotates. I could get off work at 11pm only to go back in at 7am. Sometimes we would have a staff meeting at 11pm ...CEO's now make in many cases over 1000 times more than the average worker rather than 40 times the average worker like they did in the 1970's.....................many CEO's make hundreds of millions a year, Lee Rayond made over 400 ...... The fear, the "wtf am I even doing here anyway," the dread, the anticipation that is a combination of thrill and fright. I was lucky enough to not have any shots fired at me. Some of the folks I worked with and lived with were not. ...
