I Saved the ECID signature on 3.0.1 : you can always go back, restore the same firmware and run the jailbreak on this; I Didn't Saved the ECID signature on 3.0.1 : You must remain with the 3.0.1 update without until it is released on the 3.1 .... TETHERING with the Iphone 3G and 3GS with official apple 3.1 upgrade or out of the Box 3G or 3GS IS DEAD..DEAD..DEAD. The Dev team WILL NEVER…NEVER…NEVER bring it back. A few and I mean a VERY few people either updated using ONLY ...Both save your ECID SHSH for a specific iPhone OS. As long as you have this ECID SHSH you can downgrade your iPhone back to that OS version again. Yes you can hack tethering on. No crackdowns by AT&T yet but they will likely try once ...blog contains swine flu related information like swine flu symptoms, treatment, swine flu history, H1N1 cases, recent updates and more4. For iPhone 3GS users that want to jailbreak, we are still stuck on 3.0/3.0.1. Instructions from the iPhone Dev Team are to NOT update to 3.1 directly via iTunes (you should know this by now for all firmware updates; make sure your ECID ... exactly! they've never sent a sms message before to upgrade. the reason they have with this update is in preparation for introducing a tethering plan. As long as you're using 3.01 or less and have a data plan, you won't ever need to pay ...Might be a stupid question, but I don't have an option for CHECK FOR UPDATE. Do I just click on UPDATE? I just want to confirm before I do it because my unlocked/jailbroken iPhone is still on 3.0.1 and I'm afraid it will ..... I managed to do the update but still have no mms. I tried the hack from cydia “activate mms” and followed the instructions that someone left in comment section. In the website where you create profile, I was never able to even check the tether box. ...I'm not jailbroken anymore but I am running benm's tethering hack.. any chance this could be ******** with the update? anyone else that my be using this hack confirm this?
